Easy Oatmeal Bourbon Cookies
"Occasionally in life we run across ideas that we think are too good to be true. Believe me, you'll really enjoy these 'ideal' cookies - they are delicious and so easy to make!"
1 c. margarine, softened
½ c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
¼ c. water
1 yellow cake mix
3 Tbsp. Maker’s Mark bourbon
3 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. nuts, chopped
- Preheat oven to 375º
- Cream margarine and sugar in mixer; add egg, water and ½ pkg. of dry cake mix, blending thoroughly.
- Stir in remaining cake mix, bourbon, oats and nuts.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake exactly 10 minutes. Do not over bake! Cool slightly and remove from baking sheet.
- These cookies will appear “not quite done” when you remove them from the oven, but they will continue cooking on baking sheet.
- Yields 4 dozen
